About Excalibur Personnel

Excalibur Personnel, Inc. is a corporation formed May 2003 for the purposes of entering into contracts with school districts to supply the district with employees in a management or clerical position. The district will select the employees, usually current employees who are eligible for retirement.

The school district is able to retain a valuable employee at a time when competent talented and loyal employees are becoming increasing difficult to find.

The employee is able to continue working in a position he or she loves while increasing their annual income in the last few years before leaving the world of work.

Excalibur Personnel, Inc. pays the employee and all appropriate employment taxes. The school district pays Excalibur Personnel, Inc. in accordance with the agreed contract. The contract can be on a yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily basis. Customized contracts are available for full or part time employees to serve the needs of the school district. Excalibur Personnel, Inc. and its employees serve at the discretion of the school district. All employees are at-will employees of the corporation.

Dean Atkins, president of Excalibur, holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration. He retired after serving in Michigan Public Schools for 33 years, the last 25 of which were as a school superintendent.
